Malifaux Terrain: The Soulstone Outback Depot

Malifaux is one of the games that really fascinates me. It is a steampunk scenario with a good mix of magic and gunpowder settled in western like world. It is about a portal between two parallel worlds. The magic bridge leads from a world where magic power is on a minimum rate to a place where magic is unleashed. The highest amount of power is focused in objects called "Soulstones". The portal leads to a city called Malifaux. The city is intact but it is totally empty - no woman and no man is living there anymore.

The folks from the normal worl put there fingers on Malifaux-City to harvest the magical power - to get the Soulstones.

Now lets think about terrain in and around Malifaux City. A game that has a deep and interesting story like Malifaux needs automatically a intense terrain scenery. In general terrain is the world where the miniature characters are acting. One can not live without the other. So lets see what we can do to give our actors a new home. The fantasy house which I started to pimp a few weeks ago seems to be fitting in this world as an outpost where the explorers collect and defend the Soulstones before they will be transported through the portal into the real world. This must be a place with defenses and lookout spots. A safe place to rest after explorations in a dangerous world full of weird magic. The building could have the look of a western foresters lodge or a trappers home or the central building of an outback Soulstone-Mine. Ideas and any kind of input is very welcome!

Mal sehen was sich daraus ergibt. Ideen und Anregungen sind immer gern gelesen!

Best regards und bis die Tage!
